Mitchell Miller (2), Cole O’Hara, Andrew Strathmann, Dane Dowiak, Josh Eernisse, Tanner Adams, and Christian Fitzgerald all scored in last night’s win. Sebastian Wraneschitz notched the first shutout victory of his USHL career, and Anthony Noreen recorded his 300th career win as a Head Coach in the USHL with the win. Tri-City (33-8-2-0) clinched a victory in this year’s season series against Lincoln in last night’s 8-0 thumping at the Viaero Center. The Storm currently holds a perfect 6-0-0-0 record against the Stars this season and has outscored Lincoln by a margin of 32-9. Scoring leaders for the Storm entering tonight’s game include Cole O’Hara (21), Mitchell Miller (20), Jeremy Wilmer (17), Lleyton Roed (16), Ilya Nikolaev (13), Gavin Brindley (13), Tanner Adams (11), and Dane Dowiak (10). The Storm improved to 23-0-1-0 when leading after the 1st period and 25-0-1-0 when leading after the 2nd period this season in last night’s eight-goal home win. Lincoln (26-14-2-3) suffered an eight-goal loss to Tri-City last night after winning five games in a row entering the matchup. The Stars remain the 2nd place team in the USHL’s Western Conference standings and have posted a record of 6-2-0-2 over the past ten games. Goaltender Cameron Whitehead recorded the loss in last night’s game after making 38 saves on 46 shots. Scoring leaders for the Stars entering tonight’s road game at the Viaero Center include Dalton Norris (18), Killian Kiecker-Olson (16), Aidan Thompson (14), Luke Johnson (13), Lucas Wahlin (12), and Gleb Veremyev (12). The Stars will return to action next weekend in back-to-back home games against the Omaha Lancers and Des Moines Buccaneers following tonight’s game against the Storm.
