Michael Bingham joins Storm Staff

Kearney, NE. – The Tri-City Storm has announced the hiring of Michael Bingham as the organization’s Equipment Manager ahead of the 2020-2021 season. Bingham most recently served as Equipment Manager for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL).

Michael Bingham, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania joins the Storm following two previous junior hockey stints in the USHL and NAHL. Bingham spent the 2019-2020 season with the Youngstown Phantoms, and served as the Chippewa Steel’s (NAHL) Equipment Manager during the 2018-2019 season.

“I’m very excited for this great opportunity with the Tri-City Storm! I’m very grateful to have the chance to do my part and help make this organization the best in the USHL and all of junior hockey” Equipment Manager Michael Bingham

"We welcome Michael to Kearney and the Storm. Michael comes to us highly recommended and already has two years of quality USHL and NAHL junior experience under his belt so we know he will be able to hit the ground running and immediately help make our club better every day from the start of training camp through the playoffs. We are appreciative and thankful to our ownership to be able to acquire and add an experienced staff member like this" President of Hockey Operations/Head Coach Anthony Noreen

"Sometimes it goes unnoticed how important a hire like this is as I don't think our team Equipment Managers and Athletic Trainers get enough love, attention, and respect. We have a first-class Athletic Trainer here already in Adam Strecker and now we get to add an impact Equipment Manager in Michael Bingham. We are thrilled to be able to add Michael Bingham to our staff leading into our season. His previous players and co-workers rave about his professionalism, details, and energy level in his role. Similar to making a trade to upgrade our roster, we view this acquisition and addition to our staff as a championship caliber upgrade to the Tri-City Storm as we move forward and get ready for an exciting and successful season on and off the ice in Kearney. To see Michael added to our every day hockey operations staff with Head Coach Anthony Noreen, Associate Coach Ethan Goldberg, Assistant Coaches Troy Thibodeau, and Nick Brusa along with Athletic Trainer Adam Strecker - I'm proud to say we have the best staff in the USHL.
