Letter to Storm Fans

By Kendall Grayson, 03/20/20, 1:15PM PDT

We wish everyone the best of health!

As a result of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the USHL Board of Directors voted unanimously to cancel the remainder of the 2019-20 season on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

The Storm organization supports this decision, which is focused on controlling the risk of spreading the coronavirus, while also taking precautions for everyone’s health.  We take the health and safety of our fans, partners, players, staff, and arena employees very seriously.

We ask for your patience in this process as we work through everything in a workload that is extremely large.  We are also trying to accomplish this remotely as our offices inside the Viaero Center will be closed for some time.  We wish to thank our fans and partners for their support and understanding.

While the news does not come as a shock in this environment, both the league and the Tri-City Storm will necessarily be sorting through a number of unusual issues over the course of the next month including the draft, the game schedule, the training camp schedules, etc.  In addition, we continue to work on solutions for unused season tickets, group outing, and single game tickets from the remaining home games this past season.  Please be patient with this process as we are in uncharted waters.

In closing, we ask for your patience and understanding as we process this daunting task for our small staff while trying to do it all remotely.  The challenge is not easy on many fronts, but as always, we will get through it all.  We are here to make it right to you, our great fans and supporters of Storm Hockey.  Our franchise takes great pride in being an asset for this great region and especially local community and giving our fans, partners, and casual customers the power to all connect at live hockey games.

We wish everyone the best of health as we all together do our part to beat this Coronavirus and work together to get past this difficult time for all of America.  We look forward to returning to the Viaero Center in the Fall to do it all again and pick up where we left off!

Go Storm!
