Storm battle Musketeers on the road

Sioux City, IA. – The Tri-City Storm face off tonight against the Sioux City Musketeers for the first time this season. Tonight’s game will be the Storm’s only road game of the weekend, as the team returns to the Viaero Center tomorrow and Sunday for matchups against the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Tonight’s game is the first of a six game season series between the Storm and Musketeers. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm.

Tri-City (1-3-1-1) enters tonight’s game in search of its second win of the regular season. Last week, Tri-City defeated Sioux Falls 4-1 on Thursday, before falling to Waterloo and Dubuque in back to back games on Saturday and Sunday to conclude the weekend. Goal scorers last week for Tri-City included; Kyle Aucoin, Benji Eckerle, Colby Ambrosio, Matt Knies, and Felix Carenfelt. Tri-City won five of seven games against the Musketeers in last year’s regular season series. The next meeting against the two teams will come on December 27th when the Storm plays host the Musketeers at the Viaero Center. In its 4-1 win over Sioux Falls last week, Tri-City outshot its opponent for the first time this season (34-28). Tri-City enters tonight’s road games in Sioux City with the 2nd best penalty kill in the Western Conference (87.5%).
