Kearney, NE. – The United States Hockey League (USHL) held Phase I of its 2019 Draft on Monday night. The Tri-City Storm selected ten players over the 10 rounds of the draft. Phase II of the 2019 USHL Draft begins Tuesday at 10:00am.
The USHL Draft takes place during the first week of May each year and is completed in two “Phases”. Phase I of the Draft is ten rounds of “Futures” age players only, which are U-17 players for next year’s season. (2003 birth year players only for the 2019 Draft).
In total, Tri-City drafted six defenseman and four forwards, and now sets its sights on the 2019 USHL Phase II draft. The Phase II draft will begin at 10:00am Tuesday morning. Fans are encouraged to follow along on social media and on the “Draft Center” section of www.StormHockey.com during tomorrow’s Phase II draft.
