  • Combines a power-forward’s grit with the skill of a smaller player. McDermott returns from college hockey for his first full USHL season after playing one season at Boston University.

Boston University:

  • 2016-17, freshman season: recorded an assist, four penalty minutes and a plus-one rating in 14 games. Assisted in collegiate debut vs. Colgate on October 8.

With the Storm:

  • 2015-16: Assisted in USHL debut vs. Waterloo on October 29 at Viaero Center. Played two games with the Storm.

Before the Storm:

  • Skated for the Westminster Prep School from 2013-16. Served as the Captain for Westminster in 2015-16, recording 36 points and a team-best 25 assists.
  • 2014-15: Averaged a point-per-game for Westminster Prep in 28 games. Chipped in with 12 goals, third on the squad.
