KEARNEY, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm is teaming with Affiliated Foods Midwest to host a series of road rallies that will allow fans to win prizes and enjoy lunch with Storm staff in five central Nebraska towns.
The first Storm Hockey Road Rally is from noon to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Holdrege Market Place in Holdrege. Additional road rallies to promote the upcoming hockey season will occur at the following Affiliated Foods grocery stores:
• Sept. 27 – Sonny’s Super Foods, Cozad
• Sept. 28 – Joe’s Market, Loup City
• Oct. 10 – Hometown Market, St. Paul
• Oct. 11 – Jim’s Foods, Central City
All Storm Hockey Road Rallies are from noon to 1:15 p.m. and include a free hot dog lunch with Coke products for the first 200 people. Storm staff will serve the free lunches and build excitement for a team that is currently undefeated in preseason action.
People who attend each event will have chances to win tickets and other prizes. Storm Director of Marketing Kyle Means said the events are a great opportunity for the team to meet fans across the Tri-City area.
“We have a lot of people who travel in to watch every game, and this is our way to give back to those surrounding communities, thank them for their support and get them geared up for a fun season with the Storm,” Means said.
The Storm will head to the Fall Classic in Sioux City, Iowa on Wednesday night to play the Fargo Force in the IPB Center at 6:00 p.m (stormhockey.com). Tri-City will play in the Tyson Events Center against the defending Clark Cup Champion – Dubuque Fighting Saints on Thursday night (7:00 p.m. – The Breeze 94.5 FM) and the two-time defending Eastern Conference Champion – Green Bay Gamblers on Friday afternoon (1:00 p.m. – Classic Hits 98.9 FM).
