KEARNEY, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm hockey team is asking fans to assist in this year’s visual marketing efforts.
The Storm’s team photographer will shoot professional photos of fans decked out in Storm gear from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27. There is no limit to the number of people who can have their photos taken in the three-hour photo session, so all fans are welcome to show up at their leisure to smile for the camera.
All photos will be uploaded on the Storm website, where fans will be able to download the professional shots for free. Many photos will be used for Storm billboards, newspaper ads, website ads and other print/visual marketing pieces used to promote Storm hockey.
“The whole idea is to showcase our great fans in a fun and exciting way,” stated Director of Marketing Kyle Means. “As people see ads with their neighbors, family and friends dressed in full Storm gear, hopefully they will feel encouraged to join in on the fun by attending a Storm game.”
The Storm is asking fans of all ages, shapes and sizes to attend the photo shoot. Additional Storm hockey apparel will be on hand for fans to wear during their photo session if needed.
All fans who participate in the photo shoot will be entered to win two free Flex Packs, each containing 10 Storm tickets. Other prizes and benefits also may be awarded.
The 2011-12 Storm season begins Sept. 30, when the Storm hosts the Sioux City Musketeers. Visit www.stormhockey.com or call 308-338-8011 for more information.
