Local ESPN show to go live from Tri-City’s draft room during Monday’s selection process

KEARNEY, Neb. – The Doug and Daddy Show will broadcast their radio show live from the Tri-City Storm’s draft war room on Monday, May 16th during the 2011 USHL Entry Draft. The show, which can be heard on ESPN Superstation 1460 and 1550 AM in the Tri-Cities, will air from 11:00 AM to noon during the draft.

The show is hosted by 23-year veteran broadcaster Doug Duda and Tony Davis (Big Daddy). Featured guests will include Storm owner Kirk Brooks, GM/Head Coach Drew Schoneck, Storm broadcaster Skip Berry and other guests to be announced later.
Currently, the Storm have the second overall pick in the first round of the entry draft, which will begin at 10:00 AM CST and updated online at www.stormhockey.com. The local talk show will likely take place during the third through seventh rounds of the draft.
Tri-City has eight picks in the first seven rounds in Monday’s draft, which currently goes as follows – one pick in the first round, zero in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh.
Each team will stop drafting players once they get to 23 protected players, and will resume drafting players on Monday upon every team reaching the 23-man mark. After every team reaches 30 protected players on their roster, their draft will conclude.
