STORM SHUTDOWN BY FARGO, LOSE 3-0
Tri-City was shutout for the sixth time this season in loss to Force

KEARNEY, Neb. – Tri-City Storm goalie Christopher Holden did everything for his team except score goals, which the Storm needed to beat the Fargo Force on Saturday night in the 3-0 loss. With the Storm loss, it drops them to nine points out of the playoffs in the Western Conference.
 
After a scoreless first period, Fargo (32-19-4, 68 pts – 3rd in Western Conference) scored the opening goal at the 12:23 mark into the second period on Nicholas Stoskopf’s fourth goal of the season from Nick Oliver and Tyler Maugeri.
 
Tri-City (19-25-11, 49 pts – 8th in Western Conference) got 17 saves from Holden in the second period, as the Storm were outshot 29-15 through two periods.
 
Willie Corrin added the insurance goal at the 10:01 mark in the third period on his first goal of the season from Tanner Lane and Brian Cooper. Nick Oliver would add an empty-net goal with 37-seconds left in the game to finish the scoring for the Force.
 
Holden (9-10-6) made 35 saves on 37 shots in the loss, while Zane Gothberg (14-7-0) made 24 saves in his second shutout for the Force this season.
 
Tri-City went 0-for-4 on the power play, while going 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
 
The Storm head on the road for four-straight games beginning in Sioux City on Tuesday night to faceoff against the Musketeers.
 
Notes: The Storm finish the season 3-4-1 against Fargo… The Storm are now winless in seven-consecutive games… Tri-City is 1-16-3 when scoring one or less goals in a game this season… The Storm are 1-6-2 in the month of March
