Tri-City added forward Gunner from the Steel at the USHL Trade Deadline

New Storm forward, Cole Gunner, has 20 points this season, which ranks him second on the Storm in scoring
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Head Coach and General Manger Drew Schoneck announced Monday afternoon that the Tri-City Storm have officially acquired 20-year old forward Cole Gunner from the Chicago Steel in exchange for future considerations.
 
Gunner has six goals, 14 assists, and 38 penalty minutes in 38 games this season.  During his USHL career, he has accumulated 20 goals, 42 assists in 135 games, which started with the Fargo Force two seasons ago and was traded to Chicago in the middle of last season.
 
The 5-foot-9, 170 pound native of Richfield, Minn. is committed to the Air Force Academy for next season. Gunner, who will join the team after this weekend for the remainder of the season, will wear number 23 for the Storm.
 
The Storm continues the road trip Tuesday night playing against the Sioux City Musketeers at the Tyson Events Center. Tri-City will be back at home on February 11th against the Sioux Falls Stampede.
