MILWAUKEE – Coming off back-to-back wins against Western Conference foes, the Tri-City Storm look to extend their two-game winning streak against the Green Bay Gamblers on Friday night in Wisconsin. The Storm have won five of their last six games and are 5-2-0 since Josh Hauge has taken over the head coaching duties.
Tri-City (11-17-0, 22 pts – 7th in Western Conference) is currently on a streak of nine-consecutive games scoring the first goal and are 10-8-0 when scoring the first goal this season.
Since acquiring G Adam Wilcox from the Gamblers in November, the Storm have averaged 3.23 goals per game, while allowing only 2.84 goals against per game and have gone 7-6-0 since the trade. Tri-City, who was 4-11-0 before the trade, was only averaging 2.40 GF/G and 3.40 GA/G before adding the former Green Bay goalie.
Storm LW/C Brad Schierhorn has tied his career and season-high with another five-game point streak. The second year forward from Anchorage, Alaska has one goal and five assists during his current point streak.
Tri-City has an all-time record of 25-17-3 against Green Bay and a 23-20-2 record against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
The game Friday in Green Bay will be on The Breeze 94.5 FM, while Saturday’s game in Cedar Rapids will air on Classic Hits 98.9 FM with the Viaero Wireless Pre-Game Shows starting at 6:45 p.m. each night.

- The Storm are led in points and goals by C Nick Lappin – 28 points (16g, 12a)… Lappin also has a team-leading seven power-play points (4PPG, 3PPA)… Lappin has registered eight multi-point games, which includes five multi-goal games this season
- RW Kenny Brooks and LW/C Brad Schierhorn lead the Storm in assists with 13 each… Brooks has five goals in the last six games for the Storm
- G Adam Wilcox (10-6-0) has a 2.52 GAA and .918 SV%… Wilcox was named the Co-Reebok Goaltender of the Week for Week 14 in the USHL with Indiana’s G Jon Gillies… Wilcox came off last week’s games winning two games and allowing only three goals on 70 shots (.957 SV%)… G Pheonix Copley (8-11-0) has a 2.76 GAA and .917 SV%
- The power play is ranked 10th in the USHL going 19-for-129 (14.7%)… the penalty kill has moved up six spots to fifth in the league at 83.7% (108-for-129), as the Storm have killed 16 of the last 17 penalties successfully

- RW Nolan LaPorte has only been held pointless in five games this season and has five points (3g, 2a) in the last three games… LaPorte leads the Gamblers in points with 32 (17g, 15a) and leads Green Bay with 15 points (9PPG, 6PPA) on the power play

- Cedar Rapids is 3-6-1 in their last 10 games… The RoughRiders lead the USHL in the most extra-time losses this season with seven and are 0-5 in overtime and 2-2 in the shootout… Nine games decided in extra-time for Cedar Rapids
- LW/C Nick Saracino leads the RoughRiders with 25 points (8g, 17a) and has six power-play points (2PPG, 4PPA) this season… Saracino also leads Cedar Rapids in plus-minus rating with a plus-7 rating in 28 games this season
- RW Gerald Mayhew, who recently committed to Ferris State University, leads the RoughRiders with 12 goals this season and has a total of 18 points in 27 games
- D Greg Amlong (6g, 10a – 16 pts) is tied for second in the USHL in defensemen scoring leaders… Amlong leads all USHL defensemen with two short-handed goals
