KEARNEY, Neb. – Coming off a seven-goal offensive explosion in Tuesday’s 7-1 win against the Sioux City Musketeers, the Tri-City Storm will look to end the first half of the season with a three-game winning streak in Saturday’s game at Sioux City.
The Storm were led by RW Kenny Brooks and RW Tim Lappin, who each scored two goals in Tuesday’s win at the Viaero Event Center. Brooks, who has now played 130 career games in the USHL, has 15 points (4g, 11a) and a plus-7 rating in 15 career games against the Musketeers. The point production against Sioux City makes up 23.4-percent of Brooks’ total points (64pts – 23g, 41a) in his USHL career.
C Tim Bonner registered his first-career multi-point game Tuesday night with a three-point performance, as he scored a goal and added two assists. Tim Lappin also registered a three-point game with two goals and one assist.
Tri-City leads the seasons series against the Musketeers 3-1-0 and have outscored Sioux City 18-10 in the four meetings combined.
Classic Hits 98.9 FM will air Saturday’s game in Sioux City with the Viaero Wireless Pre-Game Show starting at 6:45 p.m.

- The Storm are led in points and goals by C Nick Lappin – 24 points (14g, 10a)… Lappin also has a team-leading seven power-play points (4PPG, 3PPA)
- Leading the setup is RW Kenny Brooks, who has 13 assists this season… Overall, Brooks has 20 points (7g, 13a) in 24 games this season… Brooks has eight points (4g, 4a) in the last eight games
- LW Trevor Moore, who has soared to third on the team in scoring with 15 points (8g, 7a), has 14 points (7g, 7a) in the last 13 games
- RW Michael Vecchione and D Dalton Spicer are ruled out for Saturday’s game due to injuries… LW Heikki Liedes is questionable for the game
- G Pheonix Copley (7-10-0) has a 2.79 GAA and .916 SV%… G Adam Wilcox (8-6-0) has a 2.67 GAA and .912 SV%… Wilcox was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 6th round (178th overall) of 2011 NHL Entry Draft
- The power play is ranked eighth in the USHL going 17-for-107 (15.9%)… the penalty kill is ranked 11th in the league at 81.3% (87-for-107)

- LW Brad Robbins, who had an impressive 12 points (6g, 6a) in eight games in November, is now the leading scorer for Sioux City with 23 points (12g, 11a) in only 20 games
- C David Goodwin is second to Robbins in scoring with 21 points (10g, 11a) and has registered 11 points (6g, 5a) since joining Sioux City
