Posted 29 days ago ago by Kendall Grayson

Kearney, NE. – The Tri-City Storm have announced that this weekend’s Storm road games against the Sioux City Musketeers can be viewed for free at the Viaero Center. Storm fans are invited to cheer on the team as it chases its 2nd Anderson Cup win in organization history. With one more win, Tri-City will clinch the Anderson Cup (Regular Season) Championship for the first time since the 2003-2004 season. An additional win will also give this year’s Storm team the record most regular season wins in organization history. Doors will open at 6:30pm for each game’s viewing party, puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm. Each watch party is free to attend. During the game’s public skate will also take place on the ice with regular pricing for fans wishing to public skate during the game. A Viaero Center concession stand will also be open for those wishing to purchase concessions during the viewing parties.

This weekend is shaping up to be a historic weekend for the Tri-City Storm organization. The team’s “magic number” to clinch a share of a regular season championship is down to one point, and the team’s “magic number” to win the Anderson Cup outright is down to two points. After 43 wins in 56 games played this season Tri-City can clinch the regular season championship for the first time on Friday night. This year’s Storm team has won the first three games of a seven game season series against the Sioux City Musketeers. The teams last trip to the Tyson Evens Center ended in a historic 16 round shootout victory for the Storm on January 27th. Tri-City swept Sioux City in back to back home games on March 8th & 9th. The Storm have won eight consecutive games ahead of this weekend’s series against the Musketeers. Tri-City hits the road this weekend following back to back road wins last weekend against the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

Tri-City returns home to the Viaero Center in Kearney for the final two games of the regular season on Friday, April 12th and Saturday, April 13th. Tickets for both games are available through the team’s official website, www.StormHockey.com. Home Game Tickets can also be purchased by visiting the Viaero Center Box Office during office hours or by calling (308) 338-8144. 2019 Clark Cup Playoff tickets will be announced by the team at a later date, once opponents and playoff dates are determined.
