Sioux City, IA. – The Tri-City Storm matchup against the Sioux City Musketeers this afternoon at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa. The Storm enter today’s game following a 7-3 defeat of the Youngstown Phantoms at home on Friday night, and a 7-4 defeat of the Des Moines Buccaneers on the road last night. Puck drop for today’s game is set for 3:05pm, with the broadcast beginning on HockeyTV & Storm Radio at 2:45pm.

Tri-City (28-8-1-1) took control of 1st place in the USHL league standings with a road win last night over Des Moines. The victory was the Storm’s first of the season at Buccaneer Arena, and today’s game marks the first game of a seven game regular season series against the Sioux City Musketeers. Last season, Sioux City pressured Tri-City for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, before ultimately missing the playoffs by two points. The first two games of the weekend have seen an offensive breakout for Tri-City, who has set a new season high for most goals scored in the 1st period, and most goals scored in the 2nd period in back to back games. Tri-City’s 4 goals scored in Friday’s 1st period against Youngstown were the most the Storm has scored in the 1st period all season, and last night’s 4 goal 2nd period in Tri-City’s win over Des Moines marked the highest 2nd period goal output of the year for Tri-City.

Sioux City (18-12-5-0) trials Western Conference leading Tri-City by 17 points entering today’s game at the Tyson Events Center. The Musketeers are currently in 5th place in the conference standings and hit the ice today following a 3-1 home loss to Des Moines on Friday night. Sioux City is 3-5-2-0 in its last ten games and is 9-6-2-0 on home ice this season. Sioux City was off last night and will play host to the Eastern Conference’s Muskegon Lumberjacks and Madison Capitols next weekend in two home games at the Tyson Events Center.

Today’s game is set to begin at 3:05pm CT, and will be streamed live on HockeyTV, and Storm Radio. For home game tickets, and more information on the Tri-City Storm, visit
