Kearney, NE. – Tri-City Storm goaltender Isaiah Saville has been named Goaltender of the Week by the United States Hockey League (USHL) for the second time this season following a twenty five save performance in Tri-City’s 2-1 shootout victory over the Lincoln Stars on Saturday. Saville picked up his fifth victory of the season in net, and the Storm took over the top spot in the USHL league standings in the win.

Isaiah Saville, 18, of Anchorage, AK has a record of 5-1-1 with the Tri-City Storm this season, and currently leads the USHL with a Goals Against Average (GAA) of 1.54. He has allowed only 11 goals in 428 minutes played, and has made 176 saves on 187 shots in the 2018-2019 regular season. Saville receives the honor for the second time this season, after being named USHL Goaltender of the Week earlier this month. Saville previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at the University of Nebraska Omaha. NHL Central Scouting listed him as a “Player to Watch” in its initial rankings ahead of the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver, BC in June.

“Both Jake and I are doing really well right now, he’s a veteran from last year who’s been helping me progress. Right now I’m still focused on improving my skating, that will help me to both stop the puck and to maintain good pace throughout the game.” - Goaltender Isaiah Saville

“Isaiah has been a steady presence in the net for us, and that’s what you want to see from both of your goaltenders. He and Jake have done a good job with that this season, they put in the work, and that’s a big reason why we are we are right now. Last weekend was not an easy weekend with us going into two road games against in state rivals. We needed guys to step up, both of our goaltenders made saves for us down the stretch in each game.” – Head Coach Anthony Noreen
