Storm travel to faceoff against rival Omaha

Ralston, NE. – The Tri-City Storm travel to faceoff against rival Omaha tonight at Ralston Arena at 7:35pm. The matchup will be the third of the season between the two teams, with each team picking up a victory in the season series in the previous two games. In Tri-City’s previous game on Sunday at the Viaero Center, the Storm fell to the Lancers 3-2 in overtime. Tri-City scored two power play goals in the final eight minutes of the game to force overtime, but it was Omaha’s Kalle Eriksson who netted the game winning goal in overtime.


Tri-City (6-1-1) enters tonight’s game as the 1st place team in the Western Conference standings, trailing only Muskegon in the USHL league standings. Jake Crespi is the Storm’s scoring leader through eight games. Crespi has netted four goals and recorded three assists for seven points. Brad Morrissey is also tied for the team lead in points with two goals and five assists on the season. Morrissey, Filip Forsmark, and Keaton Pehrson lead Tri-City in assists with five on the year. Tri-City is coming off a four game week with wins over Lincoln and Des Moines. Sunday’s game at the Viaero Center was the most recent game for both Omaha and Tri-City. The Storm will conclude play this weekend with a road matchup against the Lincoln Stars tomorrow night.


Omaha (3-4) hosts Tri-City at Ralston arena tonight for the second time this season. The Lancers fell to the Storm by a final score of 5-1 in its home opener on October 6th. Despite Sunday’s overtime win, Omaha remains the 8th place team in the Western Conference standings. The Lancers offense is currently being led by Logan Will, Brian Silver, and Tyler Carpenter, who have all scored multiple goals this season. Will leads the team with six points through seven games played. Following tonight’s game against Tri-City, Omaha will complete a two game weekend tomorrow night after hosting Des Moines.


Tonight’s game is set to begin at 7:35pm CT, and will be streamed live on HockeyTV, and Storm Radio. HockeyTV is a subscription based service that carries all Storm home and away games throughout the season. Storm Radio is the new audio broadcast home for Tri-City Storm hockey and can be accessed through Mixlr,, or by downloading the official Tri-City Storm Mobile App. The broadcast will begin twenty minutes prior to the advertised game start time.
