Kearney, NE. – The Tri-City Storm host the Lincoln Stars tonight at the Viaero Center in the annual Color Out Cancer game. Last weekend, Tri-City defeated Des Moines in the 2018-2019 home opener by a final score of 3-0 and enters tonight’s game with a 4-0 record on the season. Tickets are still available to tonight’s game and can be purchased online, by calling (308) 338-8144, or by visiting the Viaero Center Box Office.

Tri-City (4-0) will take the ice tonight in Kearney as the 1st place team in the Western Conference after tying the best start in team history with four consecutive victories to begin the season. In last Friday’s shutout of Des Moines, Tri-City got goals from Asa Kinnear, Ronnie Attard, Ruben Rafkin, and Isaiah Saville provided twenty five saves in net. Saville’s performance in goal earned him USHL Goaltender of the Week honors. Entering tonight’s game, Benji Eckerle, Jake Crespi, Asa Kinnear, and Ian Murphy are tied for the team lead with two goals through four games played.

Lincoln (2-3-1-0) enters tonight’s game as the 6th place team in the Western Conference. The Stars split a two game preseason series with the Storm, and will face Tri-City eight additional times in the regular season after tonight’s contest at the Viaero Center. Shane Pinto leads Lincoln with four goals and seven points on the season. Phillippe Lapointe and Josiah Slavin each have five assists on the year. After becoming the first team to defeat the Des Moines Buccaneers this season on October 6th, the Stars have since dropped two consecutive games against Dubuque and Des Moines.

Prior to the game, the Storm will be hosting an outside barbeque in conjunction with Kearney Concrete, the presenting sponsor of tonight’s game. The Concrete Cares BBQ will begin at 5pm. After tonight’s game, there will be a jersey auction with proceeds benefiting cancer charities.

Tonight’s game is set to begin at 7:05pm CT, and will be streamed live on HockeyTV, and Storm Radio. HockeyTV is a subscription based service that carries all Storm home and away games throughout the season. Storm Radio is the new audio broadcast home for Tri-City Storm hockey and can be accessed through Mixlr, StormHockey.com, or by downloading the official Tri-City Storm Mobile App. The broadcast will begin twenty minutes prior to the advertised game start time.
