Storm Introduce Storm Radio

Posted 321 days ago ago by Kendall Grayson

Kearney, NE. – The Tri-City Storm has announced the creation of Storm Radio, a new way to follow Storm Hockey for the 2018-2019 season. All Storm preseason and regular season games will air on Storm Radio, the new online audio platform for Tri-City Storm hockey. Tri-City’s September 8th preseason game vs. Lincoln will serve as the gameday debut of Storm Radio.

Storm Radio is accessible worldwide via Mixlr, an online streaming platform trusted by many junior, collegiate, and professional hockey organizations. As in past seasons, HockeyTV will continue to provide an online video broadcast of every USHL game throughout the 2018-2019 regular season. Storm Radio will air all six preseason games, all sixty two regular season games, and any potential playoff game. In addition to providing fans with live game broadcasts, Storm Radio will also host exclusive content throughout the season.

“The Storm are excited to announce a commitment to a 21st century platform to engage our fan base with. The interactions provided by Storm Radio will hopefully be a welcomed opportunity for our fans to build an even stronger connection with the players, coaches and staff of the Storm organization. While the longstanding relationship with 94.5 FM The Breeze was impactful for the organization, our need to reach our fan base more effectively necessitated a strategic shift” – President of Business Operations Holmes Ghassemi

I’m excited to introduce our fanbase to Storm Radio during this year’s first preseason game on September 8th! This technology has proven to be an effective resource for team’s looking to provide fresh and expanded content to fans. The launch of Storm Radio creates a great opportunity for the organization to build on its existing fanbase, and allows for a new way to grow the Tri-City Storm brand. If you can’t make it to the game, I hope you will have a chance to listen to the broadcast, and try out the new fan chat feature.” – Director of Media Relations/Voice of the Storm Kendall Grayson

Mixlr, the online hosting platform for Storm Radio, is compatible with mobile devices, and can be heard in over 170 countries around the world. Fans can access the audio stream at or through the Tri-City Storm mobile app.
