In the 2nd period, former Buccaneer Sam Hentges scored his first goal with the Storm and first since being traded from Des Moines to Tri-City at 16:31 of the 2nd period to give the Storm a 1-0 lead in the game.

The Storm held the lead for much of the 3rd period until Erik Urbank tied the game at 15:20 of the final frame. His shot was from the corner of the ice and bounced in behind Storm goalie Jake Barczewski for the goal. Tri-City and Des Moines skated to a tie at the end of regulation and Saturday night’s game would be decided in the overtime period.
