Posted 1 years 244 days ago ago by Kendall Grayson

Kearney, NE. – The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced earlier today that Tri-City Storm Head Coach Anthony Noreen will be the Head Coach for Team West at the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospect Game on January 9th at the Viaero Center in Kearney, NE. The selection marks the first time in USHL/NHL Top Prospect Game history that the Tri-City Storm will have a representative behind the bench.

Noreen has led the Storm to a 16-6 record through his first 22 games as Head Coach. Noreen arrived in Kearney this summer after a previous coaching stint with the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL). He previously coached in the USHL with Youngstown from 2010-2015 and was named the USHL Coach of the Year in 2015. First year Storm Coach Noreen led the team to a hot start to start the season as the team won 10 of its first 12 games.

Tri-City is currently 2nd in the USHL standings with 32 points. The Storm are only one game back of league leading Fargo, who have played three more games than the Storm this season. Tri-City previously had three players named to the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospect Game roster. Forward Wyllum Deveaux and Defenseman Jace Foskey will represent Tri-City on Team West and Forward Tyler Madden will represent the Storm on Team East.

Other representatives in the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospect Game include Trainer Colt Graft, Equipment Manager Dan Bouska, and Broadcaster Kendall Grayson. Graf and Bouska are in their 4th seasons with Tri-City and Grayson is in his first. Additional information and full rosters for the game can be found online at
