Game Preview 10-15-17

Kearney, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm have opened the season with two impressive victories over Omaha & Sioux City. The Storm will attempt a 3-0 start to the 2017-2018 season at 5:05 PM today in Omaha.

 

Tri-City is coming off a 3-1 victory over Sioux City on Friday night at the Viaero Center. The Storm overwhelmed the Musketeers with three goals in the 2nd period from Brian Hawkinson, Michael Maloney, and Adam Goodsir.

 

Storm goalie Filip Larsson improved to 2-0 on the season with the win and placed himself among the USHL league leaders with a .957 save percentage.

 

Omaha fell to Tri-City in their season opening game at Ralston arena and has since gone 1-1 in their last two games. The Lancers picked up their first victory of the season last night with a 5-1 win at Cedar Rapids. Omaha used two goals from Ethan Price, two goals from Brendan Furry, and a tally from Joseph Abate to down the Roughriders.

 

Tri-City will be playing their second game of the weekend, while Omaha will be skating for the third time in three nights when the puck drops today at 5:05 PM at Ralston Arena.
