Kearney, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm announced Thursday the opening night roster for the 2017-2018 season. The roster will feature 26 players from 10 states, plus Canada and Sweden. The talented group consists of 18 players who have previously announced a college commitment or who have been selected in the NHL Entry Draft.

The team also announced captains with the selection of Captain Adam Goodsir, Captain Brian Hawkinson, Alternate Captain Bryan Yoon, Alternate Captain Connor McMenamin, and Alternate Captain Wyllum Deveaux.
Goodsir is the team’s leading returning scorer with 16 goals, 10 assists for 26 points from last season. Hawkinson is the lone player remaining from the teams magical 2015-2016 Clark Cup Championship season. Yoon led all Storm defenseman in scoring last season with 2 goals, 16 assists for 18 points. McMenamin is new to the roster this season, but spent last season with the 2017 Western Conference Final Champion Sioux City Musketeers. Deveaux netted 4 goals, added 19 assists, for 23 points last season with the Storm.
Notable players on this year’s roster include Adam Goodsir, Nate Clurman, and Filip Larsson. Goodsir, a University of Denver commit, netted 16 goals and registered 26 points in last season’s campaign. Clurman, a 2016 draft choice of the Colorado Avalanche, spent the last four seasons with Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana. Larsson, a 2016 draft choice of the Detroit Red Wings, recorded a .925 save percentage last season with Djurgardens in his native Sweden.
