Storm's Jensen makes U.S. U18 Select Team

Will compete at Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup

Kearney, Neb. – Tri-City Storm forward Jack Jensen was named to the U.S. Under-18 Select Team that will compete August 7-12 at Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup in the Czech Republic.

Jensen, 17, competed at the Storm’s Main Camp in June. Last season, the Minnesota commit skated for Eden Prairie High School, finishing third on the team with 16 goals and 38 points. Eden Prairie finished third in the Minnesota High School Boys State Hockey Tournament.

A native of Eden Prairie, the 6-foot-2, 195-lb. talent has spent the last two seasons at the high school ranks.

The 2017 Ivan Hlinka includes teams from eight countries – the United States, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland. The U.S. team has won first prize once, in 2003.
