Kearney, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm acquired the 12th overall pick in the 2017 USHL Phase II Draft from Muskegon in exchange for forwards Wyatt Bongiovanni, Monte Graham and Jon Bendorf, Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt announced Monday. The Storm has two first-round selections in Tuesday’s Phase II segment, at two and 12.

“We’re excited to add a high pick in the draft and we’d like to thank the three players for their contributions,” Muckalt said. “Monte won a Clark Cup with us and all three positively impacted the Storm during their time in Tri-City.”

Graham played in 116 regular season games over two seasons with the Storm, scoring 11 goals and 32 points. In the 2016 Clark Cup Playoffs, he tallied one goal in 11 games. Bongiovanni generated 12 goals in his first Storm season and was fourth on the team with 30 points. Bendorf recorded five assists in 23 games.

On May 4 at 7 p.m., the Storm will hold a 2017 Draft Party at the Viaero Center open to season ticket holders. Tri-City will raffle off three big prizes: a vacation (hotel and plane tickets) to Las Vegas, a trip (hotel and game tickets) to the College World Series and tickets to a Kansas City Royals game. Tri-City will also raffle Storm prize packs and have free food and drinks served.
