Kearney, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm has transferred forward Joe Cipollone to the Boston Jr. Bruins of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt announced Wednesday.
A 19-year-old in his second USHL campaign, Cipollone played in 16 games for the Storm this season and recorded two goals. Last season, Cipollone competed in 47 regular season games, scoring seven goals and ten points. Cipollone recorded two assists in 10 Clark Cup Playoff Games.
“We want to thank Joe for all his contributions this season and last season during our championship run. This move gives him a chance to play in a bigger role on the ice with his new team. He leaves Tri-City a champion and we wish him the best of luck.”

Tri-City returns home for a pair of home games on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 against Waterloo. Friday’s game is a 7:05 p.m. puck drop for First Responders Night, presented by New West Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, plus a $5 Kids Friday. Tri-City will honor local first responders throughout the night, paying tribute to the hard work and efforts of so many in the central Nebraska community.
Saturday, December 3 is Boy Scout Day, presented by Cabela’s, and features a special 3:05 p.m. start time and one-game-only specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game.
