Storm acquires draft pick from Sioux Falls

Kearney, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm has acquired a fifth-round pick in Phase I of the 2017 USHL Draft in exchange for forward Christoffer Karlsen, Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt announced Tuesday.

Karlsen, 18, skated in four games for the Storm, recording eight shots on goal, two penalty minutes and a minus-3 rating. The native of Sarpsborg, Norway opened the season on the 45-day injured reserve and played his first USHL game on October 28 at Fargo.

The Storm is home for a pair of games this weekend, November 18-19 against Youngstown. Friday’s home game is UNK Night, presented by Hilltop Mall, plus a $5 Kids Friday for kids 12 and under, brought to you by Kearney Taco Bell. Saturday’s game features special intermission Wiener Dog Races, presented by Fairview Vet Clinic. Tri-City finishes up the weekend with a postgame skate.
