Posted 285 days ago ago by David Fine

Kearney, Neb. –Tri-City Storm defenseman Jace Foskey has been named to USA Hockey Under-17 Select Team that will compete at the Under-17 Five Nations Tournament August 9-13.

Foskey, 16, participated in the Storm’s Tryout Camp in June and was the Tri-City’s Phase I first-round pick in the 2016 USHL Draft. He is 6-foot-3, 183 pounds.

“We are really excited with Jace,” said Storm Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt during Tryout Camp. “He has a really good frame and a good stick. He’s done some excellent things here and we are ready to continue to watch him.”

The tournament is somewhat of a homecoming for Foskey; the games will be held in Frisco, Texas, less than 30 miles from Foskey’s hometown of Southlake, Texas.

The 20-man roster will play against Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany.
