Kearney, Neb. – The USHL has announced the Tri-City Storm’s full regular season schedule and the Storm will raise its 2015-16 Clark Cup Champions banner on Friday, September 30 vs. Sioux City at 7:05 p.m.
The home opener features special promotions and giveaways that will be announced at a later date. Watch the defending Clark Cup Champions at the Viaero Center in 2016-17 by purchasing season tickets. Tri-City’s regular season begins on September 23 at Lincoln. Last season, the Storm won the last four games of the season series against the Stars. Tri-City edged Lincoln for first place in the conference to capture its first regular season conference title since 2004.
The Storm plays the Stars at home on October 1, October 15, December 31 and February 14. Tri-City plays Lincoln nine times during the regular season.
Omaha and Tri-City play eight times, with four games at the Viaero Center on November 4, January 21, January 31 and February 10. The first game at Omaha is October 9.
Tri-City marched to its first Clark Cup by defeating Sioux Falls, Waterloo and Dubuque in the playoffs.
In a rematch of last season’s Clark Cup Final, the Storm takes on the Fighting Saints twice this regular season, both in Dubuque, on December 16 and 17.
After defeating Waterloo in a five-game Western Conference Finals series last playoffs, the Storm plays the Black Hawks on December 2 and December 3 in Kearney.
The Storm matches against Sioux Falls four times and the first game against the Stampede is the second game of the season, September 24, in Sioux Falls. The first home game against Sioux Falls is February 24. Tri-City has matched the Herd in the playoffs in consecutive seasons.
This season is the 17th in the Storm’s history. Single-game tickets and Tri-City’s promotions schedule will be released at a later time.
