Kearney, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm will travel to Ralston Arena, home of the Omaha Lancers, for three preseason games September 8-10, 2016 as part of the 2016 Fall Classic.
The Storm opens the Fall Classic on September 8 at 8:00 p.m. against the Omaha Lancers. Last season, Tri-City defeated Omaha in five of eight games.
On September 9 at 4:00 p.m., the Storm takes on the U.S. National Development Program U18 squad.
To finish, Tri-City matches the Waterloo Black Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on September 10. The game is a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals. The Storm bested the Black Hawks in the series-deciding Game 5 of the Conference Finals to advance to the Clark Cup. Tri-City swept Dubuque in the Clark Cup Final, 3-0.
The event allows the Storm coaching staff to evaluate talent prior to the start of the regular season on September 23 at Lincoln. Tri-City plans to release the remainder of its preseason schedule at a later time.
The Storm will raise its 2015-16 Clark Cup Champions banner at the Viaero Center on Friday, September 30, 2016 vs. Sioux City at 7:05 p.m. The home opener features special promotions and giveaways that will be announced at a later date.
