Tri-City hosts preseason game Sept. 2 vs. LIN

Kearney, Neb. – The Tri-City Storm has announced it will host a preseason game on Friday, September 2 at 7:05 p.m. against the Lincoln Stars, the first Storm game since Tri-City won the Clark Cup.

Tickets go on sale at the Viaero Center Box Office this Friday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. The game is free to Storm season ticket holders. Tickets for the general public are $5. The Storm plays six preseason games. The other five will be held at Ralston Arena, home of the Omaha Lancers.

Thurs., Sept. 8, 8:00 p.m. vs. Omaha (2016 Fall Classic – Ralston Arena)
Fri., Sept. 9, 4:00 p.m. vs. Team USA (2016 Fall Classic – Ralston Arena)
Sat., Sept. 10, 8:00 p.m. vs. Waterloo (2016 Fall Classic – Ralston Arena)

On September 4, Tri-City takes on the Des Moines Buccaneers in a doubleheader at Ralston Arena. The first game is at 10:30 a.m. and the second contest is slated for 3:00 p.m. 

The following week, Tri-City travels to Ralston Arena for three preseason games, September 8-10, as part of the 2016 Fall Classic. 

The Storm opens the Fall Classic on September 8 at 8:00 p.m. against the Omaha Lancers.

On September 9 at 4:00 p.m., the Storm takes on the U.S. National Development Program U18 squad. 

To finish, Tri-City matches the Waterloo Black Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on September 10. The preseason allows the Storm coaching staff to evaluate talent prior to the start of the regular season on September 23 at Lincoln.

The Storm will raise its 2015-16 Clark Cup Champions banner at the Viaero Center on Friday, September 30, 2016 vs. Sioux City at 7:05 p.m. The home opener features special promotions and giveaways that will be announced at a later date.

This season is the 17th in the Storm’s history. Single-game tickets and Tri-City’s promotions schedule will be released at a later time.
