- Game Summary

OMAHA, Neb. – After eight months of being together, the Tri-City Storm (0-3) will depart as a team on Sunday following a loss to the Omaha Lancers (3-0), which knocked the Storm out of the playoffs with a 5-2 victory on Saturday night and swept the West Division Semi-Finals series in three games. Jaden Schwartz scored both goals in the loss in his final game as member of the Storm.
 
Schwartz opened the scoring 9:37 into the first period, as Mario Puskarich found Schwartz in front of the Omaha net and Schwartz scored his second goal of the playoffs.
 
Omaha scored one-minute later to tie the game, as Seth Ambroz scored his second goal of the playoffs being setup by Matt White and Erik Haula.
 
The Lancers scored two more times in a span of a minute and 46-seconds, as Nick Oddo scored back-to-back goals to give Omaha a 3-1 lead.
 
Schwartz would cut the deficit to one goal on a short-handed goal with 2:14 left in the first period. The unassisted goal was Schwartz’s third goal in two games against the Lancers in the series.
 
The Lancers scored two more goals in the second period, scoring one goal on the power play and the other short-handed. Justin Holl scored on an Omaha power play and White scored short-handed with a minute left in the second period to give Omaha a 5-2 lead.
 
The Lancers will advance to play the Fargo Force in the West Division Finals beginning next week in Omaha.
 
Carsen Chubak (0-2) made 34 saves on 39 shots in the loss for the Storm. Jeff Teglia (3-0) made 14 saves on 16 shots in the win for the Lancers.
 
The Storm on the power play was 0-for-4, while Omaha was 1-for-7 with the man-advantage.
 
Tri-City ended their Tenth Anniversary season where it began on October 3rd, 2009 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Storm coaching and scouting staff will now prepare for the USHL Entry Draft in May.
