KEARNEY, Neb. – Kearney has always been known as the regional hub for great sporting events, and the month of February will be no different. Thanks to a partnership between UNK Athletics and the Tri-City storm, season ticket holders will have the opportunity to see both teams play at no cost!
During the Storm Hockey games on Jan. 29th & 30th, any Storm season ticketholder who visits the Guest Services tent will receive 4 general admission tickets to the UNK versus Regis Basketball games on February 6th (Women at 1 PM, Men at 3 PM).
During the Loper basketball games of February 6th and 9th, any Loper season ticket holder who visits the NW entrance to the arena will receive 2 general admission Storm Hockey tickets to the Storm vs. Stars game on February 12th (7:05 PM game time).
To further this partnership, the Tri-City Storm will be recognizing RMAC championship volleyball and football teams during intermissions of the games on the 12th & 19th for their success in the fall. It is also worth noting that the Storm has designated that all proceeds from raffle tickets for Storm jerseys in the month of February will go to support the UNK Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s efforts to fund the Senior Recognition Banquet.
Be sure to attend the Loper game on the 9th of February versus Chadron State for an opportunity to meet Storm hockey players and Stormy as they will be in attendance signing autographs and greeting fans.
