The Tri-City Storm has implemented a new ticket program to support charitable and non-profit organizations across central Nebraska.
 
The program, called Storm Tickets for Charity, gives nonprofit groups and its members complimentary tickets to Storm games during the 2012-13 season.
 
The goal of the program is to collect unused or donated tickets from fans and provide them to children and adults who might not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a Storm game.
 
Nonprofit groups may request a maximum of 10 tickets to any of the Tri-City Storm’s 32 home games. Additional tickets can be purchased by participating non-profits at a discounted rate of $9 per ticket.
 
“The fun and excitement of Storm Hockey is something we want everyone to experience,” said Ticket Manager Dustin Favinger. “This program is another way to positively impact the communities we serve, and it allows people to attend a game who may not have the resources on their own to do so.”
 
Every donation by a season ticket holder will be matched by the Storm, said Favinger. For example, if 15 tickets are donated to the program, the Storm also will give 15 to push the total to 30.
 
“The program’s success depends on the generosity of our season ticket holders and donors in the community,” he said.
 
Non-profits interested in participating in Storm Tickets for Charity can request tickets by filling out an application form that can be downloaded at here or obtained from the Storm box office at the Viaero Event Center.
